Here are some childhood photos of the (fully) Italian cast members of MTV's reality show Jersey Shore when they still looked normal, prior to the harmful effects of steroids, tanning beds, hair gel and hip-hop.
... this is out of topic, but maybe you can answer... I am a brunette, and I do love my hair so I really do not regret anything, but I cannot understand why so many Italians are blond as children and eventually their hair turns brown... This crossed my mind because of the pics you uploaded here. Really, I cannot understand why the colour of the hair changes... Is it something that happens in other ethnies, countries or only here? This really freaks me out! I'll repeat, I love my hair also because Italian guys tend to prefer brunette to blondes and above all to gingers... but I'd like to understand if there is any reason... thanks!!!!!!!!!!! P.O.
Light hair often darkens during childhood for unknown but probably genetic reasons. It can also darken further during puberty and into adulthood for hormonal reasons. [Source]

Just about all Northern Europeans are blond as children, but only a minority are as adults. This is normal in all European populations.

thank you for the info re the hair
Today we lost a great GP racer, Marco Simoncelli, and a young actor, Damiano Russo...
RIP both
It is so unfair :'(
I am brazilian of european ancestry and unknown mixing: child of almost white hair and dark blond/brown hair in the adulthood.
I'm sure the entire cast of Jersey Shore would find counterparts in southern Italy.
Yup. They look Italian enough.
